32 weeks and 3 days

Today’s appointment with the high risk doctor went well. Baby is active and moving  around a lot. She’s measuring at 4 lbs and 12 oz. Everything looks good per doctor. I have one more visit with the high risk doctor at the end of Aug. I’m starting weekly with my regular OB for a NST. The first NST went well and they want to closely monitor the baby. So far everything has been going well, Praise God! Just 8 more weeks left until she is here. We cannot wait! Please continue to pray that baby continues to do well and pray for my health as well.  Thank you

third trimester

Last month in June I had pain and discomfort and went to the ER at my 24 weeks pregnancy. I had contractions and was observed half of a day at the hospital with IV meds and fluids. Thankfully my cervix was still closed. The doctor dx me with irritable uterine. I was told to refrain from activities that could irritate my uterine. Also I was dehydrated. The pain and discomfort lasted a few days and I got better.

I transferred to a new obgyn to the one closer to home. My previous obgyn was near home but she works at two different locations, one in Charlotte and the other in Cornelius. I originally went to see her in Cornelius but ended up in Charlotte because they have an ultrasound tech there and she was assigned to work mostly in Charlotte due to Covid-19. I was going to Charlotte often and it was quite a drive from my house. Plus I found out that she delivers at the main hospital in Charlotte. There’s no way that we want to drive to Charlotte through traffic or the busy city. Thankfully the new obgyn is just 15 minutes away from us and it’s adjacent to the hospital. At my first appointment with the new obgyn, Jason was able to come inside with me and got to hear the baby’s heart beat.

And now I’m currently in my third trimester at 28 weeks and 4 days. I recently had two appointments with my regular and high risk obgyn. Everything is going well so far, Praise God! Had my glucose test and passed. Baby weighs 3lbs and 3 oz, heart beat of 143. The high risk said everything is fine. I kept asking if 3lbs at 28 weeks is normal, the doctor said the ultrasound scan isn’t reliable with the weight and everything is fine. I’m hoping that’s true. I’m glad that baby is gaining weight and doing well but I’m afraid of delivering a huge baby. Jason was a big baby at 9lbs and something oz when he was born, he was close to a 10lb baby. I was a normal size baby at 6lbs and something oz. Anyway, we’ll see when that time comes.

Lastly, Jason has been working on the flooring in the baby’s room. We haven’t put up anything for baby yet. I’m not doing a baby shower due to the virus still surging, wish ppl would wear their masks! But we’ve sent our baby registry to our family if they want to get us something. I’ll probably start buying baby stuff towards the end of July.

…And I quit my PRN job. 😦 but eligible for rehire if whenever I decide to go back.
