she’s a girl!

This morning I had my 18 weeks anatomy scan. Jason couldn’t come with me and he sat in the car waiting. As soon as I checked in, I was told to void my bladder. Then a few minutes later, an ultrasound tech came and got me. I was given a gown and told to undress. Then she came in and proceeded the scan. It was amazing to see little fingers, hands, feet, heart and kidneys. I wish Jason had seen it. Then she asked me if I wanted to know the gender, and when she reached to the area, I knew immediately that we are having a girl and I was right as the ultrasound tech stated she’s a girl! I was so happy! Then the doctor came in and I was allowed to put Jason on speaker phone so that he could still be in the care of the baby and if he had any questions. The doctor said everything looks good and normal which is reassuring. The doctor said at my next appointment they want to check for the baby’s growth and monitor the heart. I was tested positive for SS-A antibody and the baby could have a risk of a heart block. We’re praying the baby doesn’t develop it and that the baby continues to be in good health. In the meantime, we’re so thankful that this pregnancy has gone well so far for us. Please pray that God continues to sustain this pregnancy for us and also pray for the health of the baby and mine as well. Thanks be to God.
